A former sergeant with the Port of Seattle Police Department, Jon Schorsch earned a juris doctor from the Seattle University School of Law after earning his master’s degree in public administration. Jon Schorsch gives back to his community through his work on the board of directors of Sight Connection, a nonprofit organization previously known as Community Services for the Blind.

Headquartered in Seattle, Sight Connection assists people with partial to complete vision loss. Through a diverse range of services and programs, the organization empowers those who have experienced loss of vision to remain independent and active.

Sight Connection recently partnered with Uber to give every person with vision loss residing within King County a free Uber ride to Sight Connection’s low vision clinic. People with loss of vision will no longer need to navigate a complicated series of bus transfers to reach the clinic.
